Here at the HOUSEHOLDER CLUB we want to help take the stress out of running your home and paying your bills. We aim to give our members the necessary information to allow them to enhance, change and update their household systems — saving them money every step of the way. Renewable energy now makes up nearly a third of all electricity generated in the UK, and the UK government have made a firm long-term commitment to reducing the UK’s carbon emissions. This means that the way energy is generated, and how you use it in your home, will definitely change in years to come. The latest new technology for heating your home, soon to be become commonplace throughout the UK, is an Air Source Heat Pump System (ASHP).
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors and hot water in your home. They differ from a ground source heat pump in that an ASHP extracts heat from the outside air, in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can get heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as –15° C. Unlike gas and oil boilers, ASHPs deliver heat at lower temperatures over much longer periods.
Here at the HOUSEHOLDER CLUB, we believe in saving you money in the long term — we don’t operate just to present our members with short term, quick fixes to their household issues. If you want to save money on your household heating bills for years to come, and reduce your fossil fuel and electricity consumption, then you might want to consider replacing your oil/or LPG heating system with an LG ThermaV Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP). The advantages of this cutting edge, environmentally friendly heating technology include:
